I used to take Prozac now I take Effexor XR yet I still don't get energy? What can I do to feel more upbeat?

On the average, it takes about two weeks for your body to adjust to a new medication. I was previously on taking Prozac, and I had to take it at night because it made me tired throughout the day if I took it in the morning. I am now on Lexapro, and I still take it at night.

Sleepiness is one of the side-effects of Effexor. If it continues, and is effecting your daily life, speak to your doctor about it. He or she made need to adjust the dosage, or the time of day you take it.
