What is the best way to get motivated to study?!

Question:

What is the best way to get motivated to study?

Becase I have my mid-year exams coming up in the next week, but I am in one of my black hole state of mind. It doesn't last long, but I really couldn't be bothered doing anything. It all seems too hard really. I don't want to fail, but at this rate I will.

How do I get myself to actually sit down and study for more than half an hour a day?

Answers:

Ah, that's such a familiar story. Denial rears it's ugly head...Okay, here's what I do: think of what my future is going to be after I finish school; imagine how proud of myself I will be when I get the grades I'm actually capable of achieving.

And here's another strategy that helps. Don't study. What!? Are you nuts? Okay, you have to study, just don't do it all at a desk sitting down. You know that half hour you use each day? The first day, use it to read your notes into a recording device of your choice. Use question and answer, lecture review, whatever. Then, the next day, go for a walk with your earphones on, and listen while you walk. Do this for each subject, and walk in a different direction for each review. If you get stuck while you are in the test, imagine where you were when you learned that fact. It's called kinesthetic learning -physical learning.
There is a book called "Becoming A Master Student," you can get at some on-line book stores for less by buying an older edition. It's a great book!
