Did cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) work for you i found it a waste of time?

i thought it was a big use of time just to say try to think differently
especially because i was on medicines that took over my thinking patterns,
i could not think anyway
did it help youat all

Answers:

Therapy is only as good as your will to make it make it work for you. Medicines don't alter your thinking or thought patterns, they may slow it down but they cannot change what is fundemantally a fixed part of you. I think part of you wanted it not to work and you need to be honest with yourself about why that is, what is it that would change or what would you loose if you allowed the therapy to have an effect? Sorry if I sound harsh honey, but I did this and it helped me no end!
