When Will Her MANIA end?
she is bipolar and having a manic episode for the past 2 weeks, the past few days it seems like she's getting better cuz she's on meds and getting treatment in the hospital, but i can tell she's still a little manic, when will it altogether end?
last year when she went manic for the first time she was hospitalized and put on meds, her mania stopped after a month

It's great to know that she is hospitalized right now Things will get better, and the mania will subside. They know what kind of med's to give there. Remember that you can't do anything to help a Bipolar person and the mood problem. This has only been going on in her life for a year at this time. Sometimes, it takes several months or years to find a drug/combination that works for an individual.
I've been treated for Bipolar most of my life (I'm 52 years old). It never "altogether ends." Sorry to tell you, but it is a life-long illness. It can be controlled, but it can't be cured. Most hospital inpatient programs have some sort of family counseling sessions available as part of the treatment regimen. Please participate if you can. What you CAN do about the situation is to get a firm grip on the fact that the other person is responsible for their own health and their own decisions. You can be there for her, you can remind her to take her med's (if it's OK with her to do that), but you can't make her better. You also didn't make her sick.
Most people have some sort of fear of mind illnesses. Try to think about how you would react and feel if she had diabetes (also a life-long illness that can be treated, but can't be cured.)
