I was wondering if any 1 has ever took fluoxetine, for pms as i have been prescribed it .?
i am a bit weary about taking it since it is prozac! i suffer badly from pms and also i think i may be suffering from depression. i dont want to make matters worse! so if any one can help me out would be very greatfull thank you

Prozac works really well for PMS; I was on it for a while and couldn't believe how much it helped with this!
Remember that Prozac can take up to six weeks to really work properly. Some women, with PMS, take the Prozac foro the ten days before their period, and not the rest of the time - check with your doctor if you're meant to be doing this.
If you're taking it for depression, it will hopefully work for you very well. But if not, don't worry; many people have to try several antidepressants before they find the one that works best.
You should get your doctor to refer you to a psychiatrist; they are the experts for prescribing these medications.
