Reverse Effects of Shaving?!

Question: Hey - I am a guy who shaved his legs maybe twelve times because I used to be practically forced by my swimming coach to do it for big meets. Now I have stopped doing it and hate how prickly and dark my hairs are. Is there anyway to reverse this?

you leg hairs are the way they are now because when you shave, you just cut off the top of the hair. a new hair is finer at the end. When you cut it, that blunt edge stays.

If you want your hair to grow back closer to how it was before you need to remove the entire hair either by waxing or with some thing like Nair.

Sorry. Gotta be hairless for a while to fix it.

Stop shaving and wax them instead !!

Even, I do not see the point of shaving legs for swimming performances... only the technique really counts.

Unfortunately there's nothing you can do to reverse it. Having said that, waxing is supposed to thin hairs out over time and therefore they grow back finer.

I know you want hairy legs but it might be worth trying that and being a bit patient with it!

theres really no way to stop how dark and coarse your leg hairs are you are just going to have to live with it... and btw most men have dark and coarse leg hairs!!

Your leg hair is probably not dark and coarse from shaving your legs. There's no real evidence that shaving does that. It's more of a myth. http://snopes.com/oldwives/hairgrow.asp

That said, if you want to put the time and effort into it, you could bleach your leg hair. You can find hair bleach, usually used for things like women's upper lip hair, in most drug stores. Here's a link to some products of this type: http://www.folica.com/Bleaches_141_1.htm...

You could also just go with the flow. Good luck!
