if your hugging her i think she notices and try getting in more depth conversation with her.Then ask her out and since your friends shake it off and go for another one

You need to tell her that you like her a lot more.Tell her you like being around her and would like to take her to a movie or come to your house and watch one.Good luck I hope she takes you up on the offer.
You say you are already friends and hug her occasionally . So that says to me that you get close enough to have a conversation . That being the case ask her about her interests , music , reading , films etc etc . Look for something in common , and the next step is to ask her out , perhaps to the cinema . Don't so anything over the top to get noticed , you don't have to if you are already friends . As for anything else just make sure you shower regularly , and change your clothes , including underwear regularly , the last thing a prospective date wants is the guy to have a bad odour !!

I know this might sound stupid to you but as you are only quite young, do something different with your image
For instance spike your hair up for school she'll probably notice you then.. NOT HUGE SPIKES just so it looks nice and styled!
If not then put aftershave on.. and talk to her, make eye contact, be confident :D
