Trimming is good. It's much quicker to shower that way and you'll use less deodorant as well.
Don't think the girls really care about the way it looks, if she's checking out your 'pits you should be concerned. She's probably saying something to you because of the smell but she's being polite about it.

A guy's shaved underarms are completely gross in my opinion so are bushy underarms. Trimmed and neat work best for both guy and girl. =)

I adopt a leave it be approach myself, always have. I cant fathom clean face shaving, such a huge waste of time and money. So I certainly wouldn't start in other areas.
