SurfnYoga Dude:
I know you think I have foreskin fetish, but I think I should point out you have a circumcision fetish. Here is the definition of "fetish":
Something, such as a material object or a nonsexual part of the body, that arouses sexual desire and may become necessary for sexual gratification.

If the skin on the tip of your penis is not sexual I don't know what is, so therefor it can not be a fetish. I would say circumcision, being that it is not natural, would more likely fall under fetish.

Also, you always blame the low circumcision rates in California on Mexican Immigrants, but how many of them read MSNBC?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19296194/

43% For Circumcision
57% Against Circumcision

I would never circumcise my kids. There is no significant medical evidence for it at all, yet there is medical evidence it may be harmful. If it does turn out to have benefits that apply to sexually active males (unlikely), my kids can choose when they become sexually active if they would rather use a condom, or chop of part of their penis.

To the poster who says it "looks healthier" (wtf? I don't think it does, but even if it did, there's a difference between looking healthy and being healthy) and also it's a covenant with god, your religious beliefs can extend to your own genitals and not others. besides, unless you're Jewish, you don't have to circumcise; it says so in the New Testament. Christians, under the New Covenant, are specifically released from having to circumcise. Also, unless you follow everything else in the Old Testament (how about women killing pigeons and taking them to the church after their period?) why follow this?

Ooh ponysteel!! Who's the fetishist, huh? http://profiles.yahoo.com/ponysteel "Sexy to be circumcised" ewwwwwww creepy that's your choice but don't advocate it for little unconsenting babies based on your own perversions.

No, despite all the garbage from the pro lobby.
Barbaric, cosmetic practice all the way. Boooooo!

We here at the help desk have analyzed your question, and all of your other questions concerning the penis. In our illustrious call to duty, we have never come to such a quick and unanimous decision that your obsession concerning penises and circumcision stems from your envy of the penis. Obviously, you lack a penis or have injured it in a circumcision like accident. We are very sorry that your obsession with the penis is causing you to ask numerous questions to total strangers. We suggest that you seek immediate psychiatric help, preferably in a facility that can house a circumcisionally-obsessed individual.

It wasn't ever really my view that circumcision was an option. The lies that people used, which you have cited and disproven, do anger me a lot though.

IT is important to note that ponysteel and surfnyoga are both self-proclaimed circumcision fetishists. They are members of the circumcision fetish site circlist, which also promotes female circumcision, and they are sexual perverts who get off on getting and looking at "high and tight" circumcsions. SICK. Look at ponysteel's profile: http://profiles.yahoo.com/ponysteel

There are other reasons and myths, too, that parents are not aware of. But the drop in circumcision rates shows that they're becoming aware.

By leaving a boy uncircumcised, if he's not satisfied with it he can always get cut and end up satisfied in the end. One survey found that about half of circumcised guys would have preferred to had made the decision themselves:
http://www.jackinworld.com/qow/q15.html

Circumcision has become less common. Circumcision rates were as high as 90% back in the 1960s and 1970s (that's partly why today's adults are so... brainwashed, I supposed you could say, about thinking that circumcision is better) but they have fallen to as low as 14% in some states. Here are the statistics:
http://www.cirp.org/library/statistics/U...

The USA is the last developed nation doing it to a large number of newborns without religious or medical needs. (Europeans, Latin Americans, Japanese, and most Australians, Canadians, and Asians don't circumcise):
http://www.circumstitions.com/Maps.html

Christianity doesn't ask for circumcision, either. In fact, sections of the Bible are harsh against circumcision, and the Catholic Church even condemned the surgery:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circumcisio...

In a medical study, it was found that females are more likely to hit orgasm with an uncircumcised man:
http://www.healthcentral.com/drdean/408/...

The lubricated foreskin (on the inside... like your eyelids) slides up and down during sex and masturbation to stimulate the head (which is why you don't hear of uncircumcised guys needing lube to masturbate).
http://www.cirp.org/pages/anat/

Studies have found that circumcision reduces sensitivity (this article also mentions how it has lost popularity in the USA in recent times):
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,2855...

And despite being more sensitive, uncircumcised guys still last in the same six minute range (average) that circumcised guys do:
http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs...

Circumcision makes masturbation more difficult:
http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs...

Which makes sense, that's how circumcision was promoted in the USA:
http://english.pravda.ru/science/health/...

Increases erectile dysfunction rates:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez...

If too much skin is removed in circumcision, it can make the penis smaller since the penis needs some skin to expand during an erection:
http://drgreene.org/body.cfm?id=21&actio...
http://www.altermd.com/Penis%20and%20Scr...

There's pain involved, often why doctors don't want you in the room when it's done:
http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/9712/23/circum...
http://www.pslgroup.com/dg/1f21e.htm
(you can search online for a circumcision video, too)

Circumcision does not completely stop penile cancer. The American Cancer Society has already confirmed the myth that circumcision = no cancer.
http://www.cancer.org/docroot/CRI/conten...

If circumcision did stop penile cancer, then penile cancer would not be more common in the USA (most circumcised adults) than in some European nations, where circumcision is not practiced other than for medical/religious reasons.
http://www.circumstitions.com/Cancer.htm...

And a new study found that circumcision does not reduce your chances to get HIV/AIDS. Unlike other studies, this one was done in a developed nation; the USA.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22096758/

Of course, there are other risks associated, but those are typically the ones due to surgery. You can research it more here:

http://www.mothering.com/articles/new_ba...

PS. As far as cleaning goes, it's really simple. For the first years in life the foreskin doesn't pull back. That prevents stuff like poo/fecal matter from touching the head. Later on all it takes it 5 to 10 seconds to pull the foreskin back and rub the head; it even feels good.

I most certainly will NOT circumsize my son(s) for no reason at all.

By the way - avoid Surfnyogadude's answer - he has a fetish with being circumsized - and also avoid Ponysteel's answer - he is a 60-year-old weirdo (possibly paedophile) who's profile picture is a photograph of his wrinkly little mutilated penis (see Harriet's link).
Jeez there are some freaks out there.

I was circumcised and my son was too. A circumsized penis looks so much healthier than one that is not. The bible says that circumcision was Gods appointed "sign of the covenant".(Gen 17:10). You may not belive in what the bible has to say, I dont know your perticular faith, but I myself have a covenant with the Lord and plan to raise my family the same way.

Posting great lies! All from foreskin fetish sites! LOL!
My two boys (1&3) were circumcised and if a third and fourth come they will be circumcised as well! All our friends and family have circumcised as well and we are in CAlifornia where the rate is down because all the Mexicans breeding! Here it is a white thing and thankfully having been circumcised at 18 I know it is the only way to be!

BTW- Read the following paper written by an Australian doctor! Not a doctor like Fliess who is a convicted felon!

Considering there is only one Doctor (Fliess) on doctors opposing, should it actually be onequackopposing ??

Considering 30% of male cancer in South America is penile cancer I would say circumcion would surely help them out!

As for less sensativity, thats a complete lie! The orgasm when you are cut is way more pwoerful than the week uncut type!

I would bet you are an uncut guy that feels inadequate and left out!

Notwithstanding your dubious English and quotations from anti-circ websites, I will take your question seriously enough to answer it. However, before doing so, I note that "Harriet" and the rest of the anti-circ club members have flocked here, fuelled by their glee at finding such a question. They should be ignored and readers should consider the facts. I chose to be circumcised as an adult: I had no medical reason for doing so and thus can speak with the authority of personal experience on life both with and without a foreskin. Before circumcision I used to have to retract my foreskin and wash my penis several times per day to maintain hygiene and avoid odour and smegma accumulation, since I was circumcised hygiene is perfect. When I was uncircumcised, I used to feel uncomfortable during hot weather as moisture was trapped behind my foreskin causing discomfort. Before I was circumcised, I used to feel as though I was moving within my own foreskin during intercourse, now that I am circumcised I experience the perfect intimate contact with my wifes vaginal wall that only a circumcised man can appreciate. My wife now experiences the additional stimulation that the naked flared glans causes in the vagina and the frictional stimulus of the tight shaft skin sliding against her clitoral and labial areas. She much prefers the appearance now also. After 23 years as a circumcised man I can categorically state that there are no negative effects, only continuing benefits. Add the public health benefits to the personal and sexual ones and the case for circumcision is overwhelmingly proven. I cannot understand the foreskin fetishists and "bleeding hearts" of the anti-circ clubs who post here against circumcision without any first hand knowledge of the subject. My advice is - "Be wise, circumcise"
