You did not say how many reps in each set or your weight for any set.
I have no idea how long it should take because I don't know how many reps you are doing and what rest period you take between sets.

I take about 1 hour to complete my total workout, so using 30 minutes just for bench seems a little long.
I do 3x10 of everything including bench.

Besides if you have the time to spend 30 minutes on the bench and it works for you it is okay.

that is too long

i think its alright

its alright thats about how long i do it what reps do you

thats not too long. Although you make it sound like you dont even start light, you just start heavy right away. I do bench press about 5-10 times depending on how I feel for one bench.Sometimes I feel like crap, sometimes I feel restless and full of stamina and keep going for more. I do 3 benches. One that inclines up one that slanted down. and one thats straight. and thats for chest. I do the same for tricep bench pressing. Which is proabably my favorite excercise now on the bench press. Sometimes I may do both tricep and chest bench presses. The tricep one builds manly arm strength which includes shoulder strength. The chest is also for back. The inclines help for different chest muscles and at least for me I noticed that when its incline more upward it feels heavier for both chest and tricep for some reason. And when inclined lower it feels lighter.
But no its not too long. I take about 45 - an hour like you. And I start off very light, from just the bar, bar then 10 pounds. then 25 and keep increasing by 10 or 5 pounds. 5 pounds when getting near heavy limits.

And no that is not too long, that is good. When you start getting into your heavy sets you need to drink alittle water and rest for about 2 minutes at least. Because after you rest for a few minutes your body gets more warmed up and at least for me I notice my strength returns faster and stronger then If I go almost non stop and hardly rest. and dont sit too much. its better if you stand too. You only sit if your extremely exhausted and like out of breath maybe but even standing up and strecthing your arms out and taking a deep breath is better. when you get into your heavy sets its always good to do at least 5 in a rep. Because anything less then 5 will give no results, if any, only tiny results.
