Sex releases oxytocin which makes us feel all loving. It plays a big part in lactation after having a baby also, stimulates the milk and helps mom feel connected to her baby, its natures way of making sure we love the squaling thing rather than wringing its neck after its cried for 5 hours straight. I know, that probably weirds you out a little but there it is. Its also a big culprit that causes women to associate sex with love, especially if its really good sex, even if you are a total arsehole.
Because I'm still good looking after sex, if I were a girl I'd wanna cuddle with me.

It's called the afterglow, and I don't mind it. Cuddling is good before and after sex. It lets you kick back and reflect on the experience. I've had a few quickies, and while it relieves the hormonal passion, it feels so mechanical if you both part ways afterwards.

I think there is a medical reason for this. After a man ejaculates, he releases an enzyme in his blood stream that makes him very relaxed and sleepy. After a woman orgasms, she also releases an orgasm that makes her feel very relaxed, but awake.
Many want the physical touching and the intimacy because they want to feel loved and protected. Could be that sex is just the vehicle to get them the attention they are seeking.
