Why don't I have any hair on my body? I'm 18 and I have black hair?!

Question: I'm 18, and I don't have any hair on my body anywhere (with the exception of pubic hair). Seriously, nothing on my arms, legs, back or chest. They're as smooth as a girl's. I feel so unmanly...I'd love hair on my chest! I can't even grow a proper beard.
I have black hair (and black eyes), so I was sure I'd get hair when I hit puberty, but I didn't get any!
I have fairly pale skin -- would that have anything to do with it?

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there anything that can be done about it?
Thanks for your time.

It is genetic. I am as white as a ghost (I'm Irish) but I have waaaay too much body hair. I look like an ape if I don't stay 'manscaped' and my body hair is mainly red and blonde. So it doesn't have to do with the color of your hair. Some guys are hairy, some guys aren't. You can't do anything about it. Even with all the hair I've got, I never got much beard between the bottom of my lowere lip and the point of my chin, so my beard always has that Amish look to it.. ha ha.

I'm doing research. Is your question for real?

Use hair growth for where u like

Well the only thing I can tell you is you're a really late bloomer. I'm pretty sure after this year or some time during this year you'll grow some hair as 18 is the last age of "puberty."

guys without hairy chests r hot.

No, but you're ethnicity may affect this, don't worry too much about it.

Ok well thats a weird question idk if it has anything to do w/ the black hair and pale skin have you asked your doctor?

tell the ladies you shave.. i don't know whats wrong honestly

It's probably genetic.
Does your father have hair on his body? What about your grandparents?
Everyone is different; you have nothing to be ashamed of.

Men of certain ethnic backgrounds don't have much if any body hair. Typically; Asians & Native Americans do not have much body hair. Other groups may fall into this category as well.

Different girls like different things. There are many girls that like no hair.

Well you're only 18!!! Your body isn't finished maturing. Give yourself another 10 years and you should probably see a bit more.

That's just how the genetic dice roll sometimes.

maybe it's genetic. did ur dad have hair on his body?

PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION:

Oh my gosh! LUCKY YOU!
I'm just 17 and i got to shave my whole body -.- (not whole, whole.. just at some places.... BTW I'M NOT A EFFIN BEAR).

There is no easy answer to your question.

Heredity can play a part. You didn't mention any male relatives and whether they have lots of body hair!?

Your statement about puberty is not true. You did say you have pubic hair. Am I correct in assuming you have armpit hair also? Those two are the only guaranteed hair sites after puberty. Other body hair is just extra and have a lot to do with heredity and testosterone levels.

One other aspect for males is their diet. Are you a big meat eater? If so, you need to take into consideration the fact that there is a lot of hormones that are fed to cattle to fatten them up quicker so they can get to market sooner. Estrogen is a biggie, unfortunately when men get excessive amounts of estrogen in their food it tends to block the production of testosterone. There are even some recent studies that indicate that we can absorb a chemical that is put in some plastics to make them pliable and clear, that mimics estrogen.

Your doctor can order a blood test to check for levels of testosterone and estrogen in your body, but, I think you should wait a few years before going to that extreme.

My son was fairly hairless until he was 22 then he took off like a shot and became very hairy. Sometimes it just works out that way!

WOW

the meat thing, that could be why.
sounds weird but my boyfriends a
veggie too. same thing.
