Is Circumcision Good For Males??!

Question: Its easier to keep clean from bacteria build up, so no infections. It takes away from some of the pleasure guys have though since that extra skin keeps the head protected, when its removed skin on the head has to become more thick and tough.

better for males than females.

of course good for males. medically preputium can cause bacterias colonize under your skin and that can make infections to happen easily. And also the shape seems better. It makes your penis look longer. One more thing ladies like it that way. Trust me I know.

I've heard sex is better for males if they're uncut.

Well it is easier to keep it clean if you are circumcised. I can not speak for all women, but I prefer it circumcised.

Circumcision is a VERY good thing for males. Male circumcision is also a very good thing for their female partners. Circumcised men enjoy better hygiene, health, comfort, self-esteem and FAR better sexual sensation during intercourse for both themselves and their female partner(s). Most women who have tried both. much prefer a circumcised man as a sexual partner. There is NO downside to being circumcised - I am circumcised and I know this to be true from my own experience.

As ponysteel correctly said, it is VERY good for males, which is what God said too. He told us to have our male babies circumcised on or after day eight...why then? .... because that's when vitamin K kicks in to clot blood and prevent bleeding. Scientists discovered that, aren't they clever!
Now we humans know better and we have, much to the disrespect for our lovely women's health,
got all PC and abandoned this, to our peril.

Wow, it seems some people here have a fetish for circumcision. Take ponysteel for example. He's been circumcised twice and posts his pictures all over the net. Or surfnyogadude who's been banned at least twice from this site for posting rubbish.

There is no proof that circumcision is good for males, people have been trying to prove it for ages but they never have. They pull out crap like "cleaner" (do you wash?) or less likely to get STDs (not true, but wear a condom anyway otherwise you're stupid and WILL eventually get something). In fact it's merely cosmetic surgery with a loss in sensation and no real health benefits. If you don't have a big foreskin problem then there's no point in getting it done.

Here's all the stuff they say circumcision "cures" or "prevents" (since disproven): http://www.icgi.org/medicalization/

I'm against infant circumcision. By leaving a boy uncircumcised, if he's not satisfied with it he can always get cut and end up satisfied in the end. One survey found that about half of circumcised guys would have preferred to had made the decision themselves:

Circumcision has become less common. Circumcision rates were as high as 90% back in the 1960s and 1970s (that's partly why today's adults are so... brainwashed, I supposed you could say, about thinking that circumcision is better) but they have fallen to as low as 14% in some states. Here are the statistics:
http://www.cirp.org/library/statistics/U...

The USA is the last developed nation doing it to a large number of newborns without religious or medical needs. (Europeans, Latin Americans, Japanese, and most Australians, Canadians, and Asians don't circumcise):
http://www.circumstitions.com/Maps.html

Christianity doesn't ask for circumcision, either. In fact, sections of the Bible are harsh against circumcision, and the Catholic Church even condemned the surgery:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circumcisio...

In a medical study, it was found that females are more likely to hit orgasm with an uncircumcised man:
http://www.healthcentral.com/drdean/408/...

The lubricated foreskin (on the inside... like your eyelids) slides up and down during sex and masturbation to stimulate the head (which is why you don't hear of uncircumcised guys needing lube to masturbate).

Studies have found that circumcision reduces sensitivity (this article also mentions how it has lost popularity in the USA in recent times):
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,2855...

And despite being more sensitive, uncircumcised guys still last in the same six minute range (average) that circumcised guys do:
http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs...

Circumcision makes masturbation more difficult:
http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs...

Which makes sense, that's how circumcision was promoted in the USA:

Increases erectile dysfunction rates:

If too much skin is removed in circumcision, it can make the penis smaller since the penis needs some skin to expand during an erection:
http://drgreene.org/body.cfm?id=21&actio...
http://www.altermd.com/Penis%20and%20Scr...

There's pain involved, often why doctors don't want you in the room when it's done:

(you can search online for a circumcision video, too)

Circumcision does not completely stop penile cancer. The American Cancer Society has already confirmed the myth that circumcision = no cancer.
http://www.cancer.org/docroot/CRI/conten...

If circumcision did stop penile cancer, then penile cancer would not be more common in the USA (most circumcised adults) than in some European nations, where circumcision is not practiced other than for medical/religious reasons.
http://www.circumstitions.com/Cancer.htm...

And a new study found that circumcision does not reduce your chances to get HIV/AIDS. Unlike other studies, this one was done in a developed nation; the USA.

Of course, there are other risks associated, but those are typically the ones due to surgery. You can research it more here:

PS. As far as cleaning goes, it's really simple. For the first years in life the foreskin doesn't pull back. That prevents stuff like poo/fecal matter from touching the head. Later on all it takes it 5 to 10 seconds to pull the foreskin back and rub the head; it even feels good.

No. It's wrong and potentially damaging.

ponysteel, Glenn and surfnyoga are all twisted circumcision fetishts from circlist. They get off on having cut genitals and looking at other people's cut genitals. Don't trust a word they say.

The benefits of NOT being circumsized far outweigh the benefits of being circumsized. Leave your penis as it is and the way God made ya!

It honestly depends. In the vast majority of cases it won't benefit the male at all. In some cases it's good, but in others it's bad.

If circumcision is such a great thing, then most males in the world would be circumcised and the foreskin would've been "selected against" evolutionarily. As it is, about 70-80% of the world's men are uncircumcised and the vast majority of them have no problems, otherwise you'd hear complains left and right.

That said, there are a few instances where circumcision may be beneficial. If a guy has a lot of problems with is foreskin, like severe phimosis (where the foreskin is too tight/narrow that it can't be pulled back at all), or he has recurrent infections/irritations, then circumcision might be a good idea. These cases are very rare, as most cases of phimosis are easily treatable and good hygiene prevents most infections/irritations.

Circumcision is a surgical procedure, and as such carries with it all the risks and complications. There could be too much bleeding, there could be infections (which, if it happens to be MRSA or any other antibiotic-resistant strain, could end badly), and other surgical errors (see links 1, 2).

Also, circumcision removes a lot of the nerve endings found in the foreskin, nerve endings that could've contribute to sexual sensitivity (links 3, 4). There have also been studies that suggest that the foreskin may actually be beneficial to the sexual satisfaction/pleasure of not only the man, but the woman as well (links 5, 6, 7).

So basically, in general as long as a guy keeps his foreskin and penis clean (which is quick and easy), he has no problems with his foreskin (which are uncommon), and he practices safe sex (which he should anyway), then circumcision is almost certainly not good for him. And again, there are those few cases where circumcision is good, but that's on a case by case basis.

Obviously it is. Frankly it's a minor difference with the exception of it being a whole lot cleaner and all the obvious lifetime benefits that come with that. It's simply respectful to your partner to be circumcised.

It is much better for both partners! Read below!

BTW- Having been circumcised at 18 and having been sexually active I can assure you sex is 100% better cut!
