Anti-depressants linked to sex drive?!
Question: My boyfriend is on anti-depressants and his sexual appetite has increased DRAMATICALLY. I mean before it was lower than mine and he couldnt always keep up and now...his is as high as mine and I think mines getting higher in response to this.
Is this normal?
Is it the anti-depressants? And if it is will his appetite drop again if he comes off the medication?

Sometimes the medications reduce sex drive.
If it's really clearing up his depression, though, it's hardly surprising that he has more energy and interest for activities that people should enjoy - it means the medication is working.
Lucky him! One of the classic side-effects of anti-depressants is a noticable decrease!!
yes be very happy. My bf has a decrease of sex drive.
That is not typical. Maybe the medication is improving his outlook on life, and that is making more willing to have sex.
all kinds of med's have side effects and yes when you get off the med's you get withdraw is life
not so normal. usually, they decrease sex drive. consider yourself lucky
