Razor or electric? dont want red bumps after a shave?!

Question: im using a mach 3 with shaving cream, but I ALWAYS get red bumps or blemish that looks ugly - particularly on my neck. If I bought an electric shaver, would it reduce/eliminate red bumps?

I suggest the razor, because it promotes the hair to grow in one direction rather than multiple different ones like an electric. The trick for a good shave is proper skin care.

Do not shave right out of bed, be up and around for ten to fifteen min to let the blood to drain from you head and face.

If you cannot take a hot shower, wrap a hot, wet towel around your face (just like in the movies) this softens the hair on skin.

Lather your skin with shaving cream and allow it to sit for a minute.

Have a clean, sharp razor edge, and run it under cold water before putting it to your face.

Keep the skin tight in the area you are shaving.

Only go over the area once.

When you're done, splash cold water on you're face to tighten up the skin (helps keep away in grown hairs). Dry your face and moisturize the skin to keep away the irritation.

Hope that helps!

No it will not young man! What you need is some Bump Patrol sold in Wal Mart, and i assume pharmacies. Do is says on the directions, and let me know what you think. It not expensive, and can be used on any parts of the body, which make it good for those who shave. Have a very Merry Christmas!

you can still order it online

To be honest I don't see the point of wet razors as they cause more irritation than the others are take longer. Always just used the electric ones and ok they don't get the hairs quite as close, but for most poeple I doubt it matters. Phillips do one now that is supposed to go round the corners too.

Make sure your skin and razor are very clean before using them. You can disinfect your razor with alcohol after using it (it helps try it too.)

Then wash yourself, and shave after a shower. The hairs get softer. And try an unscented cream (or pure jojoba if you can get that - the oil is great for shaving.)

The electric might help, just remember clean skin, so you are not grinding in bacteria and other foreign matter.
