I am new to gym-need a workout routine only with dumbells?!


Question: HI buddies
I have started hitting the gym from today.I am 28/M.I would like to do the exercises only with dumbells.Also I would like to do a lot of treadmill and abs.I am 5"7 150lbs.though not plump I have a huge tyres of pot belly(really very bad looking).Please sugggest me a routine only with dumbells.Also,can I bring shape and size to my butt.

If you're new to the gym, then the first thing you should be told is, in the weight lifting game, it's 80% diet, meaning it's more important to eat right than to lift weights and then pig out.

In terms of a routine, here are some exercises that will do you a world of good. I've put the muscles worked in brackets.

Dumbbell press 3 sets of 8 (3x8 hereon) (shoulders)
Dumbbell Rows 3x10 (Upper Back)
Dumbbell Curls 3x12 (Biceps)
Dumbbell Tricep extension 3x8 (Triceps)
Dumbbell Squats 3x12 (Legs, Butt)
Dumbbell Flyes 3x12 (Chest)
Dumbbell Shrugs 3x10 (Upper Back)
Hammer Curls 3x10 (Forearms, Biceps)

You have to do an all around workout especially cardio stretch out and warm up before exercise and talk to the trainer at the gym..
