Dry Foreskin Due To Yeast Infection?!

Question: My Girlfriend has a yeast infection and thru intercourse i have contracted it, i had used the monistat cream to fight it off and it has worked amazingly, my problem is due to it being irritated my foreskin had become dry and cracked in a few places around, iv been using A&D Ointment and it has been healing it but it seems everytime it is almost completely healed (a day or 2) if i get an erection or try masturbation it crackes all the way around again, should i be concerned or is there a better way to premote the healing or should i continue using the monistat ointment as well? Thank You For your time. MM.

I don't think that Monistat cream is designed for men, and particularly your foreskin. The yeast infection is probably long gone. That cream is probably the cause of your dry and cracked foreskin.

For a dry and cracked foreskin, treat it like any other skin first: apply moisturizing lotion, preferably with aloe vera or something. Leave it alone - don't try to move the foreskin a lot (except when washing under it during a shower/bath), don't masturbate or have sex. You don't want it to be cracked for too long, otherwise the foreskin could lose its elasticity and it could scar a little, making it difficult to pull back. It should get better in a few days to a week, so try to abstain until then.

Also, eat yogurt as that helps fight yeast infections, just in case it's not totally gone. Ignore any comments about getting circumcised, that won't prevent yeast infections and is too extreme a "treatment" in your case.

If you're in doubt or it doesn't get better soon, see a urologist or a dermatologist.

A few q's.
Is there a discoloration of the skin, like a small red bump that is not an open sore?
Has it peeled at times?

Get circumcised and you will never have that problem again! Sounds pretty nasty!

Didn't you notice she had a yeast infection?
