Question: the other day I happen to walk into the bathroom, while my ten year old son was the bath, although i wasn't embarrassed, I was a little suprised to see he had a full erection, is that quite young to start getting erections, being a single mum, I don't know much about young boys.

Tufty the answer is that children get erections from birth. My son when I delivered him in the hospital, and then went to hand him to the doctor had an erection and pee'd right up the front of the doctor in to his face. I was a little embarrassed, but he assured me he had been christened by may others. When they are potty training I have noticed with my boys, and our grandchildren when you take them to stand at the toilet, or urinal they generally will have an erection. NO that is not to young. Boys get erections from birth on. You might want to have a talk with him about masturbation and how it is okay and that he should do it when ever he wants but to keep it personal and private.
