Help! GUYS should know this stuff!?!

Question: Ok I have really strict parents and my older brother was searching porn on google on my laptop. How do I clear the history so that my parents don't get mad at me or my brother? On the google search box http://www.google.com/if I type in the letter 'a', then everything he searched that started with an 'a' appears in the little box below. How do I get rid of this? I have a MacBook. Please help!

On the top bar it says safari click that. Then click reset safari.

Go to the "tools" menu on your web browser. Under "options" you should see some options like "clear history", "clear cookies" and "delete temporary files". Click all of those and then close the browser. The next time you open it, those things shouldn't pop up again. It might also be a good idea for you to check your recycle bin to see if he downloaded anything and tried to delete it. Make sure you empty your recycle bin or "evidence" could still be there to find.

Oh, wait a minute....I just saw that you said you had a Mac! Now my routine won't work. Not sure what to tell you cause I don't have a Mac.

it should say clear history somewhere when you type and the stuff appears. if not then go to tools>internet optinos>clear history

go to google, when the word comes up click the down arrow so it's highlighted then click delete. to clear it from your address bar, do the same. and if you go to your favorites there might be a button that says history, you can clear that too.

I wouldn't let someone search porn on my computer, the chance of viruses and spyware is high. You can make a second user account for him.

Internet Explorer:

Near the top right, there should be a "Tools" drop down menu. Click it, and go down to internet options.

There, there should be a "Browsing History"

Click Delete. It'll ask you what to delete. Click "Delete All"

Mozilla Firefox:

Click tools. Click "Clear Private Data". Check them all in. Press "Clear Private Data Now"

Good luck!!
