Umm...why don't you use saliva?

LOTION!!!!!!!!!

KY lubricant is best. lotion can cause health issue

lotion

if you are using condoms (& you better b!) you should use lube cuz the lotion can break down the latex of the rubber.

No, it is not a good idea. Could cause infection. Just go buy some lube, are you lazy?

Oh wow! Thats REALLY REALLY gross!!!! EWWW~

well, if you're using condoms, then no, you don't want to use lotion. that will break down the condom. If you're going at it bare-back, then lotion is fine.

never mind i will keep that ans-were to my self huh

Consult the proper person. He will guide you properly.

lotion is for external use only, fork out the $10 and buy some k.y. jelly.

Loob of course...it stays slicker and they have the ones that heat up. My girl loves the flavored ones.

Generally, no, it is not safe to substitute lotions for lube. Many hand lotions contain mineral oil which will weaken a condom and cause it to break.
And, with male-male sex you definitely want to use a condom to at least prevent urinary infections.

Lubricants are readily available at a drug store, the drug section of most grocery stores, and any adult novelty store. They're not expensive and are specifically intended for how you want to use them.

If your taking care of your self i don't think it matters. If you are indulging with another person i think it might be more comfortable for both to use lubrication. In my personal experience the lotion can eventually dry out and rub you raw.

If you are using a condom, you should not use lotion because it is oil-based and increases the risk of STD's. Lubricants such as KY are water-based and safe to use because it won't create open pores in the condom. Even un-scented lotions can cause irritation and may bead up in the orifice, causing pain or a rash. I'd recommend lubricants, since they are made specifically for that purpose and will not cause irritation, regardless of whether you use a condom or not.

My husband and I use lotion for anal sex. It works way better than lube.

Hand lotions (if this is what you are talking about) simply were not made for anal sex. There are many, many chemicals in lotions that can irritate sensitive parts, even with handjobs.

It won't kill you, but it's not the same as substance that was specifically made for the job.

Stuff like ordinary hand or body lotion often contains perfumes and other additives ...so although its fine if you are just using it to masturbate, you wouldn't really want to get any onto someone else's internal tissue, because it can sometimes cause inflammation and other adverse reactions.

Best and safest to stick to water based lubes like KY. And assuming you are using a condom ( and if not, why not?) then you should never use lotion, because it can weaken the latex.

BTW..olive oil is also good... natural product with nothing added, and nice 'n slippery!

use spit
