Working out, 18 year old?!

Question: I just got a gym membership, and I was wondering what I should start to do. so far, i go and run on the elliptical, then I go to the weight room and do most of their nautilus machines for the upper body. My main goal is to muscle up and lose weight! currently, i have a little muscle, and I weigh 250lbs, I am 6'3".
What would be the best things to start doing, or am I doing the right things already? thanks

Aerobic training is overrated when it comes to weight loss. If you add muscles you will increase the number of calories you use (even at rest) and thus you will burn off excess fat faster. Stick with the weightlifting for a few months and then move over to aerobic training.
If you still want to stay on your current program I think you should also do weight training for you legs, you don
