If you're too scared to go completely bald, try a buzz cut. That way you'll still have some hair if you decide you don't like it.
I once saw an older, balding, graying man with a buzz cut. It was really sexy.

It's the fashion these days, and a lot of women do seem to like it. I shaved my head once before just to see the reaction, and I got tons of compliments for it; these days it's a sexy look.
