Is it ok to shave backwards?!
Question: IS it ok to shave backwards ? I am a guy. Always I shave backwards... if you know what I mean! It seems to give a clean shave. But does this cause any permanent or temporary damage. Also, sometimes I get dry and sometimes oily skin. What gives?

I, too, have heard that you're supposed to shave "with the grain" of the hair. I believe this is supposed to help prevent razor burn and maybe zits.
I'm with you, though. Been shaving for 15 years against the grain because it IS the cleanest shave possible. I rarely get zits and as long as I let my facial hair remain wet for a few minutes before I shave I rarely have discomfort shaving or razor burn.
generally shaving shodul be done perpendicular to (not with or opposite) the direction of hair growth. But whatever direction works for you is fine.
You mean like while holding the razer upside down? Yeah its okay, its a good way to get all the hairs around the neck area.
If you get razor burn I recommend you use a sensitive skin shaving cream or gel. Works for me.
Shaving against the grain like said, is the cleanest shave possible, you may get some zits at times but dont worry, you'll get used to it after a while.
