Some guys have a tendancy to have a shooting pain from their prostate. If it happens on a regular basis it needs to be checked out. But, if it happens randomly and not very often, it is just something that happens. Be sure to let your doc know at the next check up so that it is at least noted in his records.

My hubby has this happen to him on occasion and he has talked to his friends about it and it happens to them on occasion too. Most men don't want to admit to it, though because they don't want any chance of a finger up the butt! :)

go to a doctor cause that ain't normal

please be nice lol...youre talkin to kids or men?

Hernia, hemorrhoids, strain. Doctor appointment time :)

How old is your husband?
Any type of pain in that area should be checked by a doctor at any age. That doesn't sound normal, so I would recommend that your husband to go see a doctor, and talk to a person that knows more about his problem.

I don't have any knowledge about what it could be, but I suggest getting him checked out by a doctor. My father found out he had testicular cancer after a medical checkup, and it would have gone unnoticed if he didn't have a physical. It sounds like there's some kind of pressure on a nerve in his groin. That could be caused by many things. But best to get a doctor's opinion.

when in doubt go to the doctor or webmd

It sounds like his problem is more rectal than testicular. Most men describe testicular pain as being in the lower abdominal area vs the rectum. You didn't mention how long this has been going on for. If it has been a few days, he needs to see his Md. It is not normal to have any steady pain, man or woman.

I do not know his age but my husband began taking saw palmetto several years ago and that solved prostate problems he was having.

It can be purchased in a health food store. Saw Palmetto is a natural solution for prostate problems.

pain isnt normal. this shooting pain can be a sign of problems. believe it or not hip joint erosion can cause pain in the testicles, as can various cancers and other problems. if any pain remains over a period of time it is always a good idea to see your doctor to make sure everything is okay.

There is no such thing as "normal" pain dear.
Pain is a signal that something is wrong.
Your husband should see a doctor to find out what is causing this pain.

Could be a issue with his prostate called prostatitis. Prostatitis is the inflammation of the prostate gland and can cause pain in the rectum, testicals and pelvic area. However it could be just about anything he should go to the doctor.
