Shan, good question. You're not gay. You're mature in beginning to understand the difference between love and lust. Love is on the same continuum of respect (and oddly enough, fear.) When you love someone, feeling of lust are not ignited as easily, instead you have feelings of protection, of owning/belonging, and of sharing intimacy.
Feelings of lust are selfish. Most guys who abuse themselves to feelings of lust are feelings no respect (or love) for these women. That's one of the reasons that love is so confusing to guys. Intimacy is a part of love that comes after love has been established to the point of "belonging" to one another. There is no feeling more complete of belonging to each other than to commit to a life together and start a family.
