Question: I'm 18 years old and recently moved here from the UK. The problem is that I am very active in sports, and when we take showers, I am usually the only one that is not circumcised, and my teammates will often laugh or joke about it. Should I get circumcised or just leave it the way it is?

Sex is also better for the man if his penis has not been circumcised. The foreskin protects the glans, keeping it soft and sensitive. And the foreskin itself is the most sexual sensitive part of the male body. Contrary to popular belief, cut men are MORE likely to suffer from premature ejaculation than intact men. There is no real downside of retaining your foreskin; if other guys don't like it, that's THEIR problem.

that's a pretty poor reason to get circ'd! not to mention expense. They're clods, so just ignore them. Unless your foreskin is giving you problems, there's no reason to get the snip. And just remember, once it's done, there's no going back.
Personally I'd leave it the way it is. Nature made you that way. Circumcision is a sore operation, but having never had it done i can't tell you how sore. One thing it'll cost you as there's no NHS that'll do it for free. You will become more sensitive for a while.
It's a two way argument, and only you can make the decision. whatever it is though. I'm sure it will be the right one for you.

If you want to be on the bench in a moo moo for 6 months then go ahead and clip your penis--it takes forever to heal. Show them how big it is erect and they will be jealous. Tell them how long you can go with a girl and they will stop teasing you. Circumcision leads to all sorts of problems including premature ejaculation and stunting growth. Leave it alone, there's no medical reason to clip the penis. It's a stupid ritual. Tell them to shut up and if they still bother you just wag your penis at them.

You really should decide for yourself - asking opinions here is not your best option. Personally my decision would be based on need to or not. Someone else made the decision for me so I don't have to consider this.
leave it just the way it was intended to be. there more than 85% of the men in the world that still have what they were born with and you don't hear of them all running to get it cut off. I would say why are they looking at your penis and they most likely would keep theirs if hadn't been cut off at birth. Don't mutilate yourself just because someone doesn't understand that you are the normal one they are the freaks that had part of their body amputated.
If you feel that your comfortable being uncircum'd then deal with it. All have its reason and probably with your culture uncircums'd is a natural thing. So there is nothing wrong with it. But if you feel that part of you thats needs to be change and doing a circums"d act is an appropriate thing then go ahead.....
Whats important is your idea, The Community may dictate ideas but if your affected then again you should ask yourself opinion.....about it!
Dude...Don't be embarrassed. I was clipped as a baby, so, I really don't know how it is to be any other way. But if I had to make the decision and make the appointment, I'd say "NO WAY, get that knife away from me..."
I strongly advise you not to get it erect, just to show everybody how big it gets...because it gets no bigger...it just carries more baggage...

Tell them they're just jealous because they aren't as nature intended - that ought to shut them up. Don't get cut for such a silly reason. It just isn't worth it.
you decide what you want to do. Why are your teammates even looking down there anyway? getting circumsized is usually for religious or hygienic reasons. it's easier to clean when it's circumsized because there's no foreskin.

Don't get it done just because of peer pressure or wanting to fit in. I come form the UK and so I wasn't cut either. I chose to get circumcised despite the fact that it is not the norm so now I am the odd one out and it doesn't bother me in the slightest.
Be the way YOU want to be and to hell with the rest. It's your body and your choice. Circumcision can be a very good thing and I personally prefer it but don't get cut unless you are 100% sure you want it or you won't be happy.

I had a bf who was and I had a bf who wasnt. The one who wasnt had trouble and pain during sex and he told me that a lot of girls rejected him because of it, of course, i didnt mind, i just felt bad that sex was uncomfortable for him. My bf who was snipped, no problem at all, never heard a word about it.
if it causes you problems then maybe you should look into it, but if jerks are just hassling you, forget them. it takes quite a while to heal.

That's a crazy reason to get circumcised. You probably won't always be taking showers with circumcised men, might not always be in the USA, etc...there is no reason for circumcision unless you really really want to do it to fit in. It's not cleaner or better or anything. Most guys are just laughing because they are jealous they are missing a bit. Globally you are in the majority. In the UK you are in the majority. Even in the USA the rates of newborn circumcision are dropping hugely and many men are trying to "restore" their foreskin. Don't you like your foreskin at all? For most people it gives pleasure to them and their partners and they wouldn't give it up.
