Men: Are you angry that you were circumcised?!
Question: I am okay with it. I think it is a barbaric practice, and that the only reason to get a circumcision is if the foreskin cannot retract. I understand that circumcision diminishes the sensitivity of the glans, but I wouldn't know because I was circumcised shortly after birth.

Not angry, but I didn't have a choice. Wish, though, that my parents hadn't done it!
I'm rather angry. I've always wondered what it'd be like to have 100% of my penis down there. But you can't change the past...

Personally I know at least one that was upset about it. But most of the men I know are intact (and happy they are, and have never had any problems).
I suspect a lot of men pretend they are happy when in fact they are a little upset about it; but they convince themselves it is "better" and don't really think about it. If you check out some surveys on jackinworld.com (sorry lost the exact links) you will see that although circumcised men were almost as happy as uncircumcised men (a few percentage points lower), over half of them wished they could have had the choice.
Just leave your child intact and let them choose. You can't pick if they will be happy to be circumcised or unhappy to be circumcised. If you leave them intact they could be unhappy or happy. The thing is an unhappy intact guy can get circumcised. I'd rather be the parent of an unhappy intact guy, who can change, than an unhappy circumcised guy, who is stuck.
Please do not do this to your child. I was circumcised at birth and am deeply resentful of my parents for doing this to me (currently trying to restore to get it as close as possible to the original). Taking care of the intact penis is relatively easy (see reference link). Let him decide - it is his body. No medical group on the planet advises it and it can actually harm your son.
Yes, I am damn mad that I was mutilated! Nobody has the right to do this to a child. The rights of parenthood only cover necessary intervention not cosmetic surgeries or those with supposed "benefits", he might get an infection, he might get this or that, less than a 1% chance, well girls have a one out of eight chance of getting breast cancer why not spare them the risk of dying early from that?
I didn't even know what circumcision was until I was in high school. I always liked my penis before...so why stop liking it just because I found out it was circumcised? I think the practice is a little weird, but I'm not angry about it. Given the choice, I think I'd rather stay circumcised. The whole phenomenon of smegma is disgusting.
why would you want to mutilate your sons penis?
research what the foreskin is and what it does before you just start chopping things off

You may be interested in the fact that in the 1990's, the american pediatric association declared that there are absolutely no health benefit to circumcision.

my brother was circumcised and i am pretty sure he is fine with it. :) it happens when they are young and therefore they don't remember it. Plus, I heard that the number one babies cry during it is because they are cold without their diaper on. :) ha

Not at all angry, quite pleased in fact. I was circumcised as an adult and the choice was mine. It feels fine, and it's clean and tidy.
