Answers: has trouble sleeping.....he went to the doctors and everything was okay with him..whats the deal?

It could be any number of things, but don't get ahead of yourself in worrying; wait and see what the doctors have to say. There are so many symptoms of so many different things that mimic each other, that to pull randomly things from the air and say "it might be this" or "it might be that" willl accomplish nothing except to add stress.

Take a deep breath, relax(try to), and wait to hear what the doctors have to say. Don't cross any bridges until you come to them, and when you do have to cross those bridges, make sure you have all the information with you, not just speculation.

Good luck to you and your father!

jaudice or hep c maybe......

really bad flu?

See another doctor, soon.

somyimes that happens with closet alcoholics

He should get a second opinion. Sounds like is is NOT ok.

no offence, maybe he is just getting old?
try another doctor and get blood tests done :)

Yellow skin is usually jaundice, which means there is something wrong with his liver

smoker? drinker? .. hes just getting ollld meng.. unless he does drugss

Pale, weight loss and yellow skin can be indicative of cancer in the liver.
It can also be seen in other diseases such as hepatitis and cirrhosis.
Sorry he's ill.

Get another dr.'s opinion, sometimes they cant diagnose what the problem is but its something serious and ppl dont know until something bad happens. take him to another dr. or to the hospital!

Well, if the doctors said he's okay... then there's not much else that can be done. You could go ask for a second doctor's opinion. Perhaps your dad is suffering from a loss or a lot of stress.

My guess is he is either lying to you, or he got bad advice. Does he drink? Yellow skin is a sign of liver problems.....and without tests they might not have found it. And if he's lost weight, he could have liver cancer...don't want to worry you, but my mother died of it...and the yellowing can be your liver not processing the toxins.....he needs to get tests if he hasn't had them.

is he going through any type of emotional stress? From his job? Relationship?

Don't want you to think negative about him, but could he be on drugs, that thing destroys people without a beep.

You should observe what he does whenever you can and catch clues from his action, regardless good or bad, you should probably let him know you care and you want to see him to be strong and well rested again.

I hope this helps :D

Jaundice is:

a medical condition and a compound produced by the breakdown of *hemoglobin) which is found in red blood cells - is circulating in the blood. The excess bilirubin in the blood can skin, eyes and the mucus membranes in the mouth or outter parts of the body to turn a yellowish color.

Jaundice is common in newborn babies and will usually clear up without treatment. However, for adults the symptoms of jaundice may indicate damage to the liver. If the cause is not treated, it can lead to liver failure.

If this is what your dad has then thats probally why the doctor said everything was okay, it should clear up soon.

As for lack of sleep it could be due to stress related factors or too much sugar/caffeine in eating habits

:]

That is a sing on pancreatic or liver cancer. Go get him checked up.
