Why does this happen?!

Question: I always wondered why is it that when I stand up to go to the restroom their are bubbles in my urine but when I sit down their are none. Why is this? I imagine we have some scientific explaination for this.

I think you are worrying about nothing, it's just an illusion. No one has effervescent urine, you probably just produce a slightly out of control stream that gives the impression of bubbles as it is slightly erratic and intermitant.

If you want to prove this to your self then do an experiment, try and pee under or directly into water and you should find there are no bubbles. The air's getting in at the point of exit and not from inside.

because you are farther away from the destination of your urine.

it keeps hitting the already done urine and they fight.

maybe you drank too much champagne on new years. If you stand the bubbles can exit the bladder, if you sit the bubbles can escape.

When your sitting down it doesn't fall as far, doesn't splash as much, so it mixes things around less and there is less bubbles.

when you stand up the soap you ate as a kid dislodges from the walls of your bladder and ends up bubbling the water in the toilet... sitting down doesn't put much stress on the walls of the bladder so the soap stays put. Good luck with dat.
