I am lifting 11 kilo dumbells is this good?!


Question: just wondering - i have no idea if this is weak, medium or strong. i do 4 sets of 10 reps. i exercise my triceps, biceps, forearms, shoulders, upper back, and chest with these - obviously in different exercises. im 19 years old. i have 11.4% fat. visually i am a toned medium build. can some one give me some idea if this is strong or not?

try and up the weight to about 16kg-18kg for single arm curls. also to build your muscles buy yourself a chin-up bar this is gd and works your biceps, shoulders and also chest and abs get worked out.

11k is not a lot really for single arm curls,,,,if you get a bar and work up to 45 to 50 k then you will be better,,,I use 15k as a minimum for one arm reps and do 60 at a time,,,100k for bench presses 45k for double arm curls and 100k for squats,,without steroinds,,,just good food and plenty of water,,,(my age,,47)

That is a fair weight for anyone, your obviously trying to "fill your shirt". Your still very young and imagine that you wont have your "real muscles" for a good few years yet. People your age with muscles are either on seroids or freaks who have developed to early. If you cant afford the gym then yeah its good but I found that exercise that increases you heart and lung function is much better for you. Main thing is listen to your body and dont strain yourself too much and stay happy and healthy, the muscles come naturally. You have only one body dont abuse it too much eat regularly and stay as healthy as poss you will benefit so much when you get to your 30's. Some people my age are already heading for the scapheap!! lol
