No it's not a bad thing at all. There are as many good things about being circumcised as there are bad and there are various groups of people who fight over which is best. Ultimately we have to make up our own minds based on personal experience.

I was circumcised as an adult so I can directly compare the before and the after. I am sure a few anti-circ folk on this forum will eagerly shoot me down for saying this but I think that in addition to looking clean and neat, it actually feels better than when I was intact. The main bad thing is that the operation can (rarely) go wrong and cause more harm than good.

So don't fret, cheer up, just think of it as an 'upgrade'. The people in your class that are mocking you are just being immature. If they were a little older they would understand that it doesn't matter and can even be a good thing. Where I come from only 10% to 15% or men are circumcised so I am the odd one out too and it doesn't bother me at all.

I am bracing my self for the big 'thumbs down' for my heretical views. This should be fun...

I don't think circumcision is bad, but definetly unneccesary. I believe our bodies are made as they should be from conception. I think it is sad that people would take away a part of their babies' body when they have no say in the matter. I have friends who really wish they could have their foreskin, but its gone forever. I prefer an uncircumcised penis, although it doesn't make or break the deal!

I like being uncircumsized.

The gliding motion feels so cool.

It keeps it soft. I felt my circumsized friends and it is just not as wet and sensitive.

I'm not going to give too much credit to a source that says that "most women" prefer a circumcised penis. That doesn't make sense, considering that 80% of men in the world aren't.

Cleanliness shouldn't be an issue. If you bathe regularly, an uncircumcised penis isn't any less clean than a circumcised one.

The studies done on STDs haven't been conclusive enough to support routine circumcision. Why cut a part of your body off when you could just use common sense and wear a condom?

Yes, it is a bad thing. It reduces sexual pleasure for the circumcised man and his female partner. But you didn't do this to yourself by choice (which would be SICK), and any woman who holds it against you is probably not really in love with you. I'm extremely grateful to my husband's parents for leaving him intact, but sex is not the only basis for a strong relationship, and a man is more than just a penis, so I hope I would not have held it against him if his parents had been less wise.

The American Medical Association and the American Association of Pediatrics both have policy that states routine circumcision is unnecessary.

As a result, circumcisions of newborns had fallen in the US from a high of 98% in 1965 to a little over 50% in 2005. That trend is continuing. It is relatively uncommon in the rest of the western world. It is practiced for religious reasons by Muslims and Jews, and as a right of passage by some tribes in Africa and South America.

Circumcision does NOT prevent STDs, nor is it cleaner. There are no medical reasons for the operation.

Circumcision does make the adult male less sensitive during sex - this is why many women favor it, since it sometimes takes the man longer to reach climax. This is at the expense of his own pleasure; the nerve endings that are in the foreskin cannot be replaced after circumcision.

No, in general it is not a good thing; but it is also not something that you should be teased about. It's the way you are, and nothing can change that.

Just remember when you have children not to circumcise them; let them grow up and then decide as adults if they want their body altered this way.

well no matter what anyone says there is nothing you can do about it so i`d say be proud of what you have.cut or uncut doesn`t matter as long as the owner takes care of it

I think it is a rip off. Most of the people that answered you are too young to realize the loss yet. When young it feels good and may enhance the feel some because the skin is tight on the shaft. The loss of sensitivity doesn't really start showing up until you are in your forty's. Buy the time your in your fifty's most guys can barely feel anything, so getting aroused enough to get an erection is difficult and awful hard to get enough sensation to keep an erection long enough to have an orgasm. I know most of my buddy
