I think as a girlfriend your doing all that you can do. Make sure you don't give compliments that you don't mean though. He has to deal with his insecurities and lack of confidence on his own or with the help of his family. Your doing the right thing.
You are doing everything you can...he is either fishing for complpiments or really insecure...either way it's his thing to deal with..
