What does aftershave do and what happens if i dont use it?!
Question: ok the hair on my face grows fast like i have 2 shave like every 3 days and im only 17 and a buddy of mine said that aftershave mkes it grow slower so the does aftershave really do

all aftershave does is offer a mild (alcohol) bacteria killing action to supposedly keep any cuts and nicks from shaving from getting a mild infection and smell good. Of course the smell good part is a matter of opinion.
I am 48 and haven't used shaving cream or aftershave for 30 years, now, because they are really just another vanity and waste of money.
It has no impact on how fast your beard will grow, only hormones do that.
After finishing one bottle of aftershave (and that many, many years ago, I stopped using it. It stings so I suppose it contains alcohol. It is said to be an astringent so it helps clean, thus preventing infections or irritations to the skin just shaved. It was scented similar to a cologne, so I gues that it's main function was to allow a man to smell good since men's colognes didn't really exist far in the past. Now with the prliferation of men's colognes, there is no real need to use aftershave. Just make sur you rinse your face well with cool to warm water, and probably do that in the shower after shaving.
