Vacsectomy?!

Question: My boyfriend is planning to have a vascectomy done in a few months, we have thought long and hard about this descision and we are both keen for him to have it done. Do any men have any stories about it, or any advice they wish to share? Any regrets?

We plan to freeze some sperm, has anyone had this done? About how much will it cost? How long can they be frozen for before they can no longer be used?

Thanks!!!

a vasectomy is a simple 10 minute procedure that can be done in any well equiped doc office. i had 5 loads of sperm frozen just in case i needed them . the cost is minimal. it comes out to about $1.98/month.good luck my friend

No reasonable doctor will do the vasectomy unless, he is the father of at least two and a minimum of age 30. This is not against you, but what if you and he do not work out. The success of a vasectomy being reversed is about 1 in 500 after a couple of years.

I recommend that he does not do it. That is what contraception is for. Not knowing your ages or anything else, I would not do it.

I was 34 when I had it done and already had 2 sons and wife was having female problems. So after our youngest was 2 did it.

Procedure was done as an outpatient and from walking in to walking out of the Doc's office took about an hour. No complications. I do know quite a few others who have had the same experience as I, and a small few that have had complications.

im not for things that are mostly irreversable. they have a contraceptive that is put in place and lasts five years for women though. i would do that before i tried anything perminant. i dont know if youve seen the commercials for that contraceptive, but ive heard great things about it.

my brother was going to have one because he and his wife did not want children. after 9 years of marriage they are now getting divorced and at 33 he is thinking that he might want children with someone else after all. so you never know what the future holds.

besides, id rather have romantic sex knowing im trying to have a baby naturally with someone i love than go to a sperm bank and get his sperm. its just more romantic when in the act knowing that the miracle of life is taking place. but stilll, thats only my opinion.

good luck with it all.

I HAD ONE AND NO PROBLEM BACK IN ACTION IN A FEW DAYS GOOD AS NEW NO NOTICEABLE CHANGES IN EJACULATION OR EJACULATE BETTER SEX WITHOUT THE WORRY OF PREGNANCY

Any reputable doctor will not perform a vasectomy on a single man. The first thing to do is the CONSULT with the doctor. The doctor may even say NO after the consult.
Why aren't YOU having a tubal ligation?
