Have I stopped Growing in height? im 15, im soon to be 16 in february?!


Question: I heard that u stop growing at 16, im about 5'8'', my dads about 5'9, i have this concern since the beginning of 2007, i dont think i have growing much since, im still the same as when they measured me in november 2006, idk if i have stopped growing, i tried to ask my doctor about giving me a prescription for a bone age x-ray, but he wouldnt give me the prescription because he said not to worry about it.

But i have a big head, is that a sign that i have stopped growing... i have an armspan of 6ft., somebody please help, is there any possible way to grow taller

The tall growth is mainly the work of epiphysear lines of long bones, particularly the femur and tibia. The growth is controlled positively by growth hormone and nutrient supplies; and negatively by diseases, stress, depression, toxins, etc. The growth stops when the epiphysear lines disappear and replaced by bone tissue. This generally happens at the age of 20-21 for boys and 18-19 for girls.

i think that guys grow till around 20 or 21.

you might. but then again, you might stop now but then start growing again in college. that can happen.
