5 sets of 10 ( bench-pressing ) ... 100lbs - Will it make me stronger ?!

Question: I do it every other day, sometimes I put two 35lbs plates on, the bar weighs 50 ... so that's a total of 120lbs.

The thing is, I'm 25 and weigh 210lbs ... I should be stronger, but I've just started focusing on body building. ( I'm not ashamed that I lift such light weight, because I'm strong in other areas ... like Martial Arts )

I don't have a spotter, and I don't train with anyone in the fitness center, most people stay to themselves.

Will I get bigger, and be able to throw the 100lbs up easier within time ? ( I get tired during the last 2 or 3 ... but usually manage to get them up )

I agree with the first answer, try mixing it up with weights and reps to keep your muscles guessing and to not get into a rythm/rut. I would also say that to push yourself more you need someone to spot you, maybe get a membership at a gym nearby or try lifting with one of your buddies.

You should increase your weight on each set up reps. Do what's called a pyramid. Instead of just lifted 100 lbs ten times for five reps. Try doing 100 lbs for 10 reps, 110 for 8 reps, 115 for 5 reps, then go back to 110 for another 5 reps and back down to 100 for as many as you can do without putting yourself in danger.

As you're able to lift the 115 for more reps, then you can bump up your base weight amount as you get stronger.

as long as you can do 10 with struggle they are just right if you cant do 10 at all go lower.also if you can do 10 easily go higher. you will start becoming stronger if you stick with it.

yes I agree you should be doing more than that much weight. my suggestion is (you don't have to follow, but Ive been doing this for a while) that you lower your sets and increase weight. Do roughly 3-4 sets of 8 or 10.
After you complete each set, superset in ten push ups. A spot on push ups and bench is highly recomended.
If you do not have a spot on bench, use dumbbells
