If you're trying to get some cardio out of it, then sure go ahead and reach your target heart rate. Maybe if the girl made some noise that would get your heart racing.

well... i'm a female, but i know my boyfriends heart rate goes up. but that doesn't mean that you'll be any better if yours does. i'm sure it will be the same. it just means that you don't get tired as easily. your probably in good shape.
Really, this is something guys think about? I would say you just have good stamina if your heart isn't racing. Or you can try to work it faster I guess.
