Losing hair at age 21 "Male"?!

Question: I am 21 years old and on the top of my head You can tell my hair is thinning and I'm loosing hair. I am very stressed with college, work, g/f etc. I know that plays a significant role in hair loss. I am using Bioxin 2 times daily once in the morning and once before i go to bed. It works but It's really not showing to much of a difference. What would you recommend me doing? Is there something I can take to regrow the hair? On tv they have these commercials like Bosley hair grow and other companies that can regrow your hair. What would u recommend me doing? I'm only 21 and losing a lot. Is there something I can take? I know I'm perfectly healthy. I have gotten a physical just to be safe and everything came out great.

As for these programs like Bosley or other hair companies....are they safe? or risky? Is there a catch to it..cancerous?????? Would you you do? How much does it cost? any help would work. Thank you

Most external hair growth treatments are not very effective, which would explain your sub-par results. That's just the nature of the beast with external treatments, sadly.

However, hair transplantation, like the Bosley restoration you mentioned, are effective. They transplant hair follicles from the side/back of your head to where hair growth has stopped. You may not be a good candidate for this treatment though. Most transplants will only be done after hair loss is complete in one area. It seems like you are still in the process of loosing your hair and this would not make you eligible for the treatment.

Pricing varies, and is most often done through monthly financing (maybe 100 bucks +/- a month depending on the size of the procedure). Health consequences seem to be minimal. The worst case scenario is improper transplantation which results in the hair falling out, or infection from the procedure itself. No long term risks have been documented.

I recommend coming to terms with your hair loss as of now, and once it advances seek treatment if you wish. Your hair pattern will genetically follow the pattern of your mothers father. So ask your grandfather on your mom's side to see how your hair loss will progress.

CONSIDER: You don't want to pay for a procedure now only to find out you need another one in 5 years because more of your scalp has gone bald.

Best of luck!

it is in ur genes

brother bald is sexy too

Shaved heads are big these days and women seem to like them so do not worry.

go see a doctor! jk bald isnt bad!! shave ur head so its all gone bald is good when ur in ur 20s

You could go see a professional. Some guys look hot bald, though. You could just shave it for fun :)

just shave it off dude i been shaving mine for years people might say something at first but after a while they will like it. its just hair

The CATCH is that its surgery. They have to remove hair from the back of your head and implant it in the front. Its basically plugs. I know your young, but baldness is something you cant run from. Shave your head. :)

mayb eyour to stress out use an ointment to make it grow

go see a doc because you may have Appalachia

Well i don't know anything about the hair growth formulas but I will tell that my boyfriend is 24 and his hair line is receeding and he is getting grey. I wouldn't worry about it, it's what your genes are that your mom and dad gave you.

I have family members as young as 18 who are losing hair or greying. Ask your family or look at photos to see if it has happened to anyone else and if so its a strong possibility it could be genetics. If not you are stressing yourself way too much. You can attract anything you want though. I learned the secret. You should buy the book or dvd. I had my hairline appearing going back and just took my mind off it completely ignored it. I didnt mention it or give it any attention and it went away. I also had a mole on the back of my head and did the same thing and it just vanished. I swear to you

use the shampo called uooplhfind it in indian stores like "joiyl"in sacramento,California....!*

most baldness is inherited but yes, rogaine does work - my kid took a form of rogaine that helps control blood pressure, with amazing results growing hair!!

well if i was yuo i would go to a doctor and tell him/her that your lossing your hair and that you shower ----- a day or a week and he might tell you what your problem

I spent $8000 on a full transplant and it was worth every penny! The best money I ever spent.....wow....to have a full head of hair again is heaven on earth! Trust me the transplant is the only way to go! (research your doctor) You will love it!

I am the oldest of my 4 brothers. 2 are totally bald, one is almost there and I still have hair and I am 55. My Dad, Grandfather were also bald at an early age. Nothing has worked for my brothers and they have tired remedies from other cultures and countries.
I say, go Bosley but first get 3 jobs.

You may want to try rogaine and/or propecia. Usually, these work better when you have just started losing your hair.

First of all you need to stop all the stressing...do some relaxation for yourself....if you can't find any product that works for you, then just work out a new look. What kind of hair product do you use? It's best , for now to stop using all the gel, hairspray, etc. Buy professional hair care products if you can, it's a little more expensive but worth it. Hair is Hair.....hopefully you can find something that work for you, other than that i don't know what to recommend because I have a head full of hair...lol...(STOP STRESSING,like seriously..i mean if you can..).)
