Does semen become more acidic when you haven't had sex for awhile?!

Question: My wife and I were apart for about a month (her job requires her to travel a lot) so even though I "took care of myself" I didn't have sex the entire time.

We had sex the first night she was home and she seemed really uncomfortable and kept grimacing. When I ejaculated she started pushing me off her. She went into the bathroom and started peeing and she was hissing like it burned.

Then she went into the bathroom and started rinsing herself out with cold water.

She said her vagina was burning a lot. It lasted about an hour and a half. The next day we had sex, it burned a tiny bit. The day after that, she was absolutely fine.

BTW: She does NOT have an STD. She went to the gyno & had it confirmed Tuesday.

I'm not sure about acidic but I know what you eat can have an effect on it. Did you eat differently than what you normally do when she is home? (i.e. hot spicy food, food high in acidicy) Things such as this could have an effect on semen. Just on the outside chance, did you take care of bussiness your self using some kind of lube or lotion that might have still been on your memeber when you and your wife had sex? That too could have had an effect, but not likely. I'd probably suspect the food possibility first.

Did she ask the gyno if it was cystitis? A build of of bacteria up there can result in this burning sensation. Most women experience it. You can even get it from wearing trousers too tightly APPARENTLY.

Perhaps you didn't use lube or maybe she has a UTI.

No, the composition of semen does not change, no matter how much or how little you have sex.

Semen is always alkaline because the inside of the vagina is quite acidic, so it wouldn't make sense that acidic semen would burn your wife's vagina.

The most likely explanation is that she was simply not used to having sex. The same happens to virgins when they have sex for the first time.
