Help, nose bleeding everyday????!
Question: My husband when he wakes up, he cleans his nose.
Ok, while he is doing that, his nose starts bleeding. There is no much blood but it is bleeding. This happens to him everyday.
Is this something bad?? Help??

u should go and consult a doctor abt it
he needs to stop picking it so much.
remember ralph...if your nose bleeds, it means you're picking it too much...or not enough.

Do those blood clots come out of his nose? My friend gets nose bleeds and he always gets these big blood clots comming out. He went to the doctor and he said that it is good to get them becuase you know that you will never get a heart attack. But I suggest that you go and talk to your doctor about it
no, its a common problem, he has a weak blood vessel in the top of his nose that will bleed when it is irritated or when it gets too hot. I had the same problem but it has calmed down now. He can have it treated if he wants, if he does see your GP who will help.
I've known two people this happened to. The doctors said the lining of the nose is actually fairly thin, and the veins inside are close to the surface and easily ruptured. One person's doctor used a frozen nitrogen stick and cauterized it, sealing off the broken vein that caused the constant bleeding. The other's doctor "packed" his nose with sterilized cotton to stop the bleeding. Both got better after seeing the doctor about this.

I have a similar problem - take a Q Tip covered with Vaseline and rub the inner surfaces of the nose up to 1-2 inches back. It helps me. My problem is caused by dry air, which is caused by the furnace running in the winter.
A Doctor told me to do this - so the best answer is to see a Doctor about it and follow his / her advice.
tell him not to clean his nose to vigourously or frequently, it is most likely disturbing it and making it raw, then it bleed which also would explain why it doesn't bleed so much.

Hmmmm this started a few days ago with me.
Since its been cold, the heat from the central heater is real dry. Breathing in this hot dry air has apparently dried out the interior of my nostrils. On the roof of the nostril is an artery. The skin, being dry has cracked. And on that crack, is the artery.... which has ripped due to the skin cracking.
Its just the right side and my nose is sore on that side. Ive been checked by my doctor and its just a flesh wound.
Oh, if its not in the nostril, GO TO THE DOCTOR ASAP! Its coming from up above.... in his head.
Get a humidifier. The air is much drier in the winter. The dry winter air (made worse by heating systems) is frying out the mucus membranes in his nose. i too had the same problem at the beginning of the winter but since we bought a couple of small humidifiers the problem has gone away.
Could be a sinus infection. Does he find a lot of dried mucus as well (boogers)? If so that indicates a sinus infection.
