GET TO A DOCTOR NOW !!! Or at least in the next day or so; not really an emergency room thing, unless it really hurts.

It may be only a hydrocele, basically a varicose vein in the nut and no big deal.

But it MAY be testicular cancer [not prostate, that's inside your body] ! Testicular cancer kills ! It moves fast, so do not wait. It is prone to metastasis, where a tumor will send out cancer cells to colonize other parts of the body [which makes surgery not so useful since they can't find all the colonies, so the cancer keeps coming back].

It could also be an infection, STD or otherwise. This is bad [but treatable] because the immune system is nearly shut down inside the testicle and epidydimus [because your sperm have only one set of chromosomes, not two, there are some genes that are suppressed elsewhere in your body, but not in some sperm. Those sperm will have surface proteins not normally found in the rest of your body. Usually your immune system kills anything like that, but it has to be turned down in the testes or we'd all be sterile].

Do not wait ! See a medical professional.

Yeah, it can be embarrassing, but better blushing than dead [or having your equipment get damaged forever].

Sorry bud but that is most likely prostate cancer. See your doctor before it is too late!

It's probably just a cyst if there's only one. That means it can be removed. I'd go to... a dermatologist.

You may have an early sign of testicular canacer. Don't be embarassed, go to your doctor and get it checked out.

You had better go to the doctor right now! It is better to know than just sit around in pain hoping not to die! It may just be a cyst. I had a friend who had one. He had it removed and went on to have 2 kids and is fine! You need to know!

if there is ANY chance it's cancer, always go to a doctor. if you go, there's a good chance something can be done.

or, obviously, that it's probably nothing, and you can be reassured of that.

also, IT'S NOT PROSTATE CANCER.

you MUST go to the doc

have you had sex? plus have you ever accidentally pulled on it or got kicked...go to ther doctor unless you wanna be in pain!

You might be afraid to go to the doctor, but it really is a must. It is better to check it out now than to wait because then he could be more serious. It could possibly be nothing or as someone else mentioned, it could be prostate cancer.

None of us here can give you a proper diagnosis, so i recommend seeing a doctor, you have to be strong for whatever news it may be. but never the less get it checked out before it becomes to late.
best of luck to you my dear

You need to seek the advice of a medical professional, not the advice of people who have nothing better to do than answer questions on here.

Apply some hot compresses to it in the form of a face cloth run under hot water. This should bring it to a head. You can then try to squeeze it out which will bring the ingrown hair out of the skin as well. Make sure you keep the area very clean or it could become infected. Dab it with some antiseptic afterwards and cover with a dry dressing if you have one.

If that doesn't work then get some magnesium sulphate paste (from the chemists) and apply that, cover with a dry dressing and wait for it to work.

If you haven't got an ingrown hair then these things will still work - it will just be an inflamed spot with no hair inside

if its in pain or feels like its under pressure.. and you havent been kicked or anything like that.. then i deff would go to a doc.. sorry hun but if it is something that you dont want to hear chances are they have something to help you get better.. thats what they're there for. I mean before you become sterile or really get sick..etc.. if youre really set on not going.. give it maybe a few more days if it doesnt pass then i would go to a doc. im not even a guy and i know those are theyre most valuable things so... up to you

Ask yourself this. Are you more scared of what the doctor will tell you now or what the doctor will tell your family after you die of cancer?

Testicular torsions happen when blood vessels tangle up, cutting off your circulation. This can be very serious and must be seen by the ER in less than 6 hours. If you have been experincing this pain for some time (i.e., 3 days or more) it's not a torsion.

What you are describing sounds like epiditimitus. It is inflammation of the epiditimus, the top part of the testicle. It's most commonly is sexually transmitted, but can be caused by bacteria traveling up the urethra. Just so you know, testicular cancer's hallmark is painless lumps, which you are not experiencing--thats good!

You need to see a doctor. If it is epiditimitus, the doctor will most likey prescribe an antibiotic which will take care of the problem. It's very important that you see your doctor because if left untreated, it can cause more damage.

Prostate cancer? Not even close!

Good Luck

I know you are scared, but please go to your Doctor. It is not normal for testicles to have lumps--may be anything from a benign cyst to cancer. That being said you want a designated expert to examine you and give you the appropriate options. Please take my advice and go see your doctor.

dont worry about it. its prolly your twin brother
