Question for the guys who have had a vasectomy done before (post surgery)?!

Question: Okay so I had my vasectomy done I wanna say maybe 4 or 5 months back... have had the sperm check done and everything and I'm shootin blanks now which is what i wanted... anyways just recently I've notice at the time of ejaculation it like SERIOUSLY hurts in the sack area... I'm talking like it stops the ejaculation it hurts that much... is this normal???

I know go see a doctor well my PCM is a female and before I have to go do the doctor I just wanted to ask if this is normal and will just go away and it's just some swelling from people with experience from it

No it is not normal. Let me qualify that. If you had a traditional vasectomy, then no it is not normal. If you had one of those "high tech", "reversible", "open-ended", or "clip" vasectomies, then you will likely have problems. If you had anything but a "traditional" vasectomy, then you night need it done over. I don't care what your doctor or your insurance company says, NEVER get anything but a proven for 100 years, traditional vasectomy.

I had a traditional vasectomy back in 1989. I had no pain, and no scar. In fact, had I been in a coma all week, I would have never known it was done.

I am a member of a "child-free" club. We have dozens of male members that have had vasectomies. Not a one has ever mentioned any pain of any kind. Being child-free, we will never consider reversal, so we have no need for anything but a traditional vasectomy.

Good luck be with you. Report It

  • No, it's not normal. I got a vasectomy 2 years ago and have never felt anything abnormal.

It should not be painful to ejaculate whether you have had a vasectomy or not; obviously there is something wrong and it is definitely not normal. I had mine many years ago, but never felt any pain at the time of ejaculation at all, even shortly after. Just a guess that it might be some kind of infection and you really don't have much choice but to see the doctor and have it checked.
