If someone is paralyzed can he control is bodily functions?!
Question: if they'e paralyzed frm the chest down but are very independent (live alone,can drive themselves and shower themselves), do they know when they have to go to the bathroom? or do they have to have a bag with them?
i just met a guy that im interested in as he's confined to a wheelchair and rather not ask him myself.

Most people that have lower body paralysis use a catheter and colostomy for their bathroom functions, as all sensation is absent in that area.
They cannot control those bodily functions.
Yes...because there able to breathe...and thats a function.
