I have a bunch of little bumps on my penis, no bigger than this shape: *?!

Question: They are even a little smaller than an asterik. I am 16 and not sexually active at all nor have I ever masterbated, but these are worrying me. I have had them for a while, but never really noticed. Some are on the bottom of my testicles, some are at the scrotum (these actually have hair growing out of them), and there are a few at the bottom and top of my penis. There are none at the head though. They are hardly noticible, but when erect they kind of look like goosebumps. I am scared that these are herpes or something, but I am not sexually active. Also, these do not hurt in anyway, and I do not think that they are filled with pus or anything like that. I have looked at pictures online of herpes, and all of the pictures are of red bumps. Please help...

Hair follicles or fordyce spots. Search for fordyce spots on wikipedia and you'll see a few pictures (which is why I can't link it). They're normal and harmless, considering you're not sexually active.

Sounds like hair follicles. Thats normal.

They're probably just infected hair follicles caused by sweating. I'm sure you bathe regularly, so it's just normal. Nothing to worry about. However, if they become inflamed or painful, then, there may be a cause for concern.

Not much you can do about them, but if they worry you see a doctor and double-check that all they are is infected hairs.

Try not to worry. But if you can, see your doctor, don't be embarrassed doctors are used to things like this. I don't think it is anything to worry about, but the doctor could put your mind at ease to stop you worrying.
