Shaving stuff?!

Question: im a teenage boy, and i think i have a problem with shaving. when i shave in the same direction with the grain, i wouldnt get a smooth shave as against the grain. is it ok to start shaving against the grain to get a better shave? (i kno the disadvantages) and is there a better way to shave with the grain tht i can use to get a clean shave?

against the grain gives your face the smooth look but it means its going to be a bit ichy and irritating growing back out, at least thats how it is with me

invest in a decent single blade razor (not a straight razor for gods sake i thought that would be a good idea once and came close to losing a large chunk of my face) and use a decent shaving lather not the spray foam stuff

course you could just go all grizly adams and grow a kick *** beard

I have to shave against the grain or it doesnt come off. It should be fine, just use a sharp razor so you only have to go over the same spot twice at the most. Use lots of lather & warm water

I always do both. My facial hair is too tough. I just make sure to end on swipes with the grain and to be very cautious.

Loay J .... How ever it works best for you. Sometimes i have to shave against the grain and Im a barber. Use BUMP Patrol after your done, you will find it will end a lot of the small red bumps and irritation. It's cheap and you can purchase it at Wal Mart.Good Luck!
