I was about 17 when I had to start shaving daily. If I skip a day, I just look hungover and hurried. I grew a goatee, (no 'stache,) to minimize the area I have to shave.
If I shave before I leave for work, I need to shave again before I go to a function that requires me to dress up. There's a reason they call it the 5 o'clock shadow.
For a while, I had a job that I could get away with skipping a day appearance wise. At least until corporate big wigs showed up; my boss came around with a pack of cheap, ladies razors and appraised every appearance. Anyone deemed in need of a shave was sent to the bathroom with a razor. (I was never so happy as when that guy got fired.)
It sucks, there are some cheats. Just make sure you're careful when you shave; miss a patch and everyone automatically assumes you're hungover.

I was 19 or 20 before I had to start shaving every day. It was, and is, annoying.
I was probably 18-19. It wasn't a big deal... I just started shaving every morning after the shower. Took a little more time but no worries.
i started shaving in my early 20s - i still only need to shave about twice a week, I'm 40.
Im 22, started about 19, have to shave once every other day.
enjoy the moment while you still can.....having to shave every morning is not THAT enjoyable as you think....one day, when you get up late for work, and had to shave while you were brushing your teeth, resulting in small neat cuts here and there, that's when you wished you were born a girl.....
i am 18 and i first started when i was about 16, it kinda sucks shaving every monring cuz u have to get up an a little earlyer when u get ready for school, but if i was you i would get a good electric shaver if u dont have one, i have one and they are awsome, they save so much time, make sure u get a good one tho. i just got a new one for 35 but it was on sale, it was 50. it works really good, i still shave with a regural razor sometimes tho, or sometimes i do both because then the shave is really clean. i dont get the 5 a clock shadow that bad tho, i hav a little one but i dont like it, its starting to get worse tho, but its all good

Actually, that's not true. I SHOULD have started shaving every day at the age of 19, but I never have. I usually shave every other day.
I was 16, but my friend still doesn't. He's forty. It depends on your bodys genes. Don' sweat it. If you shave every day at a young age, you are more likely to go bald sooner and have more body hair. So don't rush it. Take it from me. My fantasy football team mascot was the Geico Cavemen.
I'm way to busy to shave every day and didn't really have to start doing so until my late 20's, though I've got light hair so it's not so noticeable. If you've got a high threshold for pain (or maybe even enjoy it), try having your face waxed. I've done it twice and it hurt horribly, but I didn't have to shave regularly until about a year later each time.
Often its your early 20's and it depends on your hair color. Guys with very dark coarse hair may need to shave more often to look clean shaved .
If you can shave after a shower , the hot water will have softened the hair and it makes shaving easier .

For me it's so long ago I can't remember. But reality is - if you check your face in the mirror & there are some whisker stubbles there & you think you want you face to be smoother - then you should shave. It's really personal choice based on how you want to look. Good luck - I'm sure you will kill'em if you want to.
most guys get it around 20 or so.
It wasn't too bad for me, I actually kinda like that look. I shave before bed.
