Embarrasing question about weight loss...?!

Question: lol...i feel kind of awkward/embarrased asking this, but oh well...basically, over the past few months I've lost about 35 pounds (i was pretty overweight before). unfortunately, i seem to only be losing it from my upper body and stomach, so i have a ridiculously large butt and hips...basically, my question is this: are there any specific exercises that target that area? right now, i basically run on the treadmill for 30-45 minutes a day, do sit-ups, lift free weights...is there anything else i should be doing? thanks in advance...

you can try and do squats and quad curls... that might help if you go to a gym just find stuff that has to do with your butt and legs

sit ups, but when you sit up lean more towards one leg then the down, then up and tothe other leg and alternate a them, thats should sort the hips :))

I lost 110# in 13 months, so I think I can answer this with some authority.

Weight loss isn't consistent in where it occurs. The body is basically cannibalizing itself and will take nutrition from wherever it's not being used to give to where it is being used.

So the best way to do it is to exercise the largest muscle groups because they will require the most energy. Have a good cardio element to your workout, because the legs are the biggest energy users. Work out your legs, chest and back muscles in resistance training.

Your basic program sounds good. If you keep it up, you'll soon notice (over the next month or so) that suddenly your body will be shifting its reduction to the remaining areas that still have excess capacity.

you have not given your age. However nothing to worry. Every persons body structure is unique for himself and it is predetermined.
