You should see a doctor soon, as sleep is a very important part of our life. Sleep is nothing to mess with, there could be many different factors that are keeping you from sleeping.

Try to get more exercise and take a shower 1 hour before bed.

Do you lead an active lifestyle?? .If you have a sitting job--come home tired--but not tired from activity--do nothing active--maybe this is your reason. Maybe this is the problem. I sometimes drink a hot cup of decalf coffee before bed--this helps me. Maybe drinking something warm would help. Good luck.

I like old_woman_84's answer cuz I have a simular problem.
but intstead of coffee, i have a drink. like sprite and seven, or burbon and decaffinated coke. the alcohol calms me and after my shower I'm ready for bed.

A regular schedule before trying to go to sleep also helps. Try it for a few weeks. Do not do any activities in your room, like watching television or getting online. keep your bedroom for sleeping.

Drink warm milk before you go to bed. Also, You may have insomnia, like I do.

i am a shift worker so i have a hard time sleeping sometimes.

Turkey and milk seem to help me. I guess it's the tryptophan.

Yeah, smoke weed. That helps with other things too.
