I started with the blade really perpendicular, but once I got some confidence, it works much better with more angle.
The big thing is to make sure you MOVE the blade directly up down, if you do any side to side motion, it slices.
YOu have to keep that edge sharp and you need lots of shaving cream to keep for cutting yourself
Be vewy vewy careful!! Those blades are sharp!
buy disposable twin blades. straights are very dangerous in the hands of the inexperienced.
I like to keep mine as perpendicular to my face as possible. I have a barbers leather strop that I use to sharpen it. Actually you can use about any long piece of leather.
I suggest dint use blades, use hair removing cream or trimmer. That's safe.
