How Do I Stop Looking Like A Boy?!

Question: And more like a man? I'm 20 years old but people mistake me for 17 and sometimes 18.

I want to look more like an adult.

Suggestions?

The good thing about this problem is that you will grow out of it in a few years time, and then you will be one of those lucky people who looks 35 when they are 40, 40 when they are 50 etc. In many ways its a blessing, you just haven't got to the good part yet.

Suggestions for the meantime:
- you could grow a beard
- look at your clothing: is it sort of teenage-style? could you buy some more mature looking pieces?
- be confident - assertive people are often perceived as older.

Quit shaving and grow a beard.

go Bald

listen pal.....looks doesnt matter....please i am being serious here.....u should be happy of what you are....if u really serious about this then have some surgery or something....but honestly dont think too much on this....atleast behave like an adult...which i am sure you are doing.....

Get some nice sports jackets or suits. Get a men's magazine like GQ and fix yourself. Kill that Emo haircut and dress right - you won't look like a 15 year old Asian Evil Kneivel anymore. GOOD LUCK!

You will appreciate this when you are a bit older. I have the same 'problem' but I think it is good, because now, at age 26, people tell me I look 18.

You could work out in the gym to improve your physique, but don't listen to folks who tell you that you need cosmetic surgery. And don't be taking any harmful substances to try and change things in any way.

Of course good nutrition is important, like multivitimins, and perhaps omega 3 fish oil, as well as a healthy diet.

You, like me, need to learn to love yourself as you are.

I should be so lucky! Will you still be complaining when you are thirty and look 25? Some people don't know how fortunate they are!

If that's really you in the ID photo, you have nothing to complain about; you are a fine looking lad. Try a more mature hairstyle...that might help make you look a little older and how about nice eyeglass frames with plain glass in them, if you don't need a Rx.

Stop shaving, and wear ties often. Oh, and no bright colored clothing/ accessories.
